The Osprey 480 features an uncooled VOx thermal sensor with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels and a 12µm pixel size, offering detection up to 1800 metres. It includes a visible light sensor with a 2688 x 1520 resolution, excelling in low-light with a sensitivity of 0.001 lux.

With a 35mm thermal lens offering 2.4x optical magnification and a 50mm visible light lens providing 3.5x optical magnification, plus digital zoom up to 8x, the binoculars deliver detailed visuals. The LCD display (640 x 480) has various scene and image modes for enhanced visibility.
