The Leofoto Summit series is designed for the larger, heavy cameras and lenses. The maximum working height of the tripod is 180cm. The tripod is delivered without ball head. Without ball head it has a minimum height of only 10.5cm. Due to its thick legs, this tripod can easily carry camera combinations of up to 40kg. The LM-404C Summit tripod weighs no more than 2500 grams and is 63 cm long when folded. It comes with removable tripod plate and half-bowl for video of 100mm diameter, a carrying bag, spikes and multi-tool.

The Leofoto Summit Series

The tripods in the Leofoto Summit Series are distinguished by their enormous stability and light weight. They have a wide, removable tripod plate and no center column, which minimizes vibration and makes them very sturdy. In addition, they all come with half-bowl, making them suitable for mounting a video head as well. Optionally, a center column is available to increase the maximum working height. On the sides and bottom of the tripod plate are UNC 3/8 screw holes to which a magic arm or smartphone can be attached. At the top of the plate is a spirit level.

The extremely sturdy Summit LM-404C tripod

The Summit LM-404C tripod is intended for all heavy duty jobs with a large SLR, medium format camera or video camera. The tripod legs consist of four sections with diameters of 40, 36, 32 and 28 mm. These are equipped with the Twistlock system and are therefore quick to unfold. The removable tripod plate has a diameter of 100mm and is equipped with a standard tripod screw of 3/8 inch, making it suitable for almost any head. The tripod has rubber feet, but a set of spikes is included so you can use the tripod on any surface. This makes the tripod a real must for the professional who works with heavy equipment.

• Offset Leg Joints: Tripods must occasionally withstand significant torsion loads so it is crucial that the leg angle stops, and all other structural joints are well supported. Our patented offset leg joints fully support the leg angle stops, allowing loads to be transferred straight through the strongest elements of the tripod. This also means the tripod is more compact when collapsed.
• Rubber Ball Feet: Large diameter teardrop-shape keeps leg sidewalls from touching the ground even at the lowest settings and makes positive contact with the ground at virtually any angle.
• High visibility bullseye spirit level is embedded in the apex for accurate levelling.
• Twist Grip Leg Extension Locks: Textured semi-hard rubber allows for easy adjustments and strong grip. Anti-twist leg sections mean each twist lock can be operated independently.
• Changing Platform, Video Bowl & Centre Column. Allows quick and very secure change-out from a simple platform to a Versa Quick-Column or YB Series Levelling Base.

At the tripod's apex, the spider has been hollowed out for reduces weight, but without sacrificing strength and durability. The mounting platform is removable, so it can be exchanged with the included 100mm video bowl to instal a 100mm video head. An integrated 3/8"-16 socket is available on the side of the spider for attaching photo or video accessories by using accessory arms or studs, available separately. The tripod can be folded to a compact length of 63 cm (24.8") for storage or travel, and the included carrying case has extra room to fit a user-mounted tripod head.
